i'm keith russell. >> and i'm barbara harrison. firefighters on the scene of a house fire in the 16000 block of pond meadow lane. these are live pictures from chopper 4 where the firefighters are going through the home. one person inside the house suffered burned and has been taken to the hot. no word on how serious the injuries are or what caused the fire. to a developing story off out of d.c. where the search is on for the person that stabbed a taxi cab driver and stole his car. this happened in the 500 block of kenyan street northwest in columbia heights. megan mcgrath has more on the driver's condition and investigation. >> reporter: it happened at around 7:00 this morning, when many people are calling taxi cabs to get to work and go about their daily business. for one cab driver here in the district, things took a very violent turn. yellow police tape closes the 500 block of kenyan street

street northwest, behind the line, investigators bag up evidence. residents say it was a disturbing sight. a man in the road yelling for help. >> i seen him hollering more help but wouldn't nobody stop. the cars went right past him and he stood many the middle of the street and cars going around him and he took off his jacket and i saw the blood and i thought he must have been stabbed or shot and finally somebody came out and called 911. >> reporter: police say the victim is a taxi cab driver. at around 7:00 this morning he was attacked by a man with a knife. the suspect stabbed him and then made off with his black pearl taxi. for fellow cabbies, the crime is a reminder of just how dangerous this job can be. >> every night, you know, i don't feel safe driving a cab. it can happen anywhere. >> it's very sad. but, then, you know, we have to do -- we have to do what we have to do to make a living into your worst fear?

the funeral is going on now and the procession set to leave around noontime. look behind me, all these vehicles are police vehicles. they fill this parking lot and an adowning parking lot and make some fields. hundreds of police department members here to show their support as you mentioned, prince william county police officer chris young lost his life earlier this week. he was a seven-year veteran assigned to the motorcycle unit and traffic enforcement. his bhoil strike a mini van earlier this week when he was responding to a call in manassas. there is a private burial tomorrow but again, the funeral is going on and the process set to leave here at noon. as i mention, it will leave the chapel here in wood bridge and make a shortstop at prince william county eastern district and after that, continue to prince william parkway in route to the western district station and then the jefferson davis highway and stop at the iwo jima

teens. right now, the cloud cover is thing out to our north and out of the mountains, still quite cloudy where temperatures are, in many locations, at or a little bit below freezing but with the sunshine we're beginning to warm up. reagan national at 41. that's the warm spot. elsewhere, mid 30s in the nearby suburbs, montgomery, arlington, fairfax and prince george's counties, a few locations upper 30s as well as right near the chesapeake bay and through central virginia. we're not going to warm much more. we'll have blustery winds with us through the afternoon and we'll look at that and the forecast for the weekend and the skins game forecast and a look at incomes week in just a few minutes, barbara? >> thanks a lot. see you in a minute. in this morning charles county police search for two suspects who broke into a liquor store in waldorf and the he was led a long speed chase. the suspects jumped out of the u-haul and took off on foot.

no word on what the suspects got away with, if they get away with anything. meantime, idaho senator michael crapo will pay a fine after pleading guilty to drunk driving this morning. he was arrested december 23rd after he ran a red light in alexandria and his blood alcohol level was .11. after the plea, an emotional crapo told the media he's been struggling with alcohol recently after avoiding it in his life. >> i've had alcoholic drinks in my apartment in washington, d.c. it was a poor choice to use alcohol to relieve stress and one at odds with my personally-held religious beliefs. but on the night of saturday, december 22nd, i made another even worse decision to go out for a drive and get out of my apartment and try to wind down. >> crapo will pay a $ 250 fine and his license is suspended for 12 months and he'll be required to take an alcohol safety ram.

in a few hours a former jail guard in prince george's county is expected to plead guilty in kwekt to an inmates's death. anthony mcintosh found ronly white unresponsive in his jail cell in 2008 and never told anyone. he was in jail accused of killing a police officer. his death was first ruled a homicide but later said he may have strangled himself. he was charged with lying to law enforcement investigating the death and a trial was exposed to start next week, today hearing is scheduled to begin at 3:00. a virginia man formerly on death row will have to wait longer before becoming a pree man. yesterday an appeal's court stop plans to release justin wolf convicted of murder in 2002 and sentenced to death bus his conviction was overturned after allegations were overturned after allegations of coercing a key witness. the case will be heard later this month in richmond. u.s. employers added 155,000

jobs. the junction sector created the most jobs, $30,000, due to sandy. manufacturing gained 25,000 jobs. the most in nine months. the labor department said the unemployment rate stayed at 7.8%. in a little more than 48 hours until the redskins return to the field for the layoffs. and this time, they have home-field advantage but they're facing a hot, young team that's sent washington packing in the past. the redskins come into sunday's matchup with the seahawks having won seven straight games but the seahawks have won five straight games and over the last four games, their defense has allowed less than 11 points per game that veteran chris cooley knows how this could change the tide of the game. >> they're not afraid to get in your face or talk to you or hit

a 14-year-old girl shot by the taliban over her campaign for girls education. she's out of the hospital and on her way home. she left to queen elizabeth hospital in england for an hour ago. she's been there the past two months and she'll be readmitted in january or february for cranial reconstructive surgery. after a few days of delay, the house is considering a measure that would allow more than $9 billion in relief for hurricane sandy victims. lawmakers sparked outrage when they adjourned without voting on the measure which is needed to player pay for flood insurance claims for more than 100,000 people in the northeast. part of a larger $60 billion package approved last week by

sunny so we'll have quite a bit of sunshine for the afternoon. cold, dry, high pressure over our region is over us today, tonight and tomorrow and a few clouds tonight and tomorrow amp clouds roll in from the west, along a weak front that will move in on sunday and give us quite a bit of cloudiness sunday night and monday and mid day on sunday and clearing out by sunday afternoon and good weather for the skins' game but maybe some snow showers out of the mountains. for the rest of the afternoon, sunny, breezy and cold and in the low 40s with wind gusting to near 20 to 30 degrees with the wind chill. overnight tonight, we'll have clouds coming through and sun seths at 5:00 and we'll be back down to low 30s by late evening and it will continue to drop by sunday -- saturday morning and into sunday morning and down below freezing again. if you're going to the game. fedex field that's what it should look like on sunday

and heard today, former arizona congresswoman gabriel giffords will meet with families from sandy hook elementary school. she's traveling this afternoon. last month a gunman forced his way into the school and killed 26 people. giffords was shot in the head in a campaign event in tucson, arizona. six others died including a 9-year-old girl. the gunman, jared lautner was sentenced to prison. the staord advocate contained an ad for a antique gun show next to the article about the sool shooting. the publisher called the ad, the placement insensitive and an oversight. police in prince william county are looking for a 15-year-old girl that's been missing for more than a week. megan lieu wise knight of wood bridge disappeared the last christmas. last seen wearing black pants,

upper 30s and near 40 in arlington and much of fairfax county and montgomery county still in the mid-to-upper 30s and here's the storm team 4 f r four-day forecast. much of the region around 40 and wind diminishing tonight and then in the morning sun in the morning and clouds in the afternoon around 40 degrees and light wind for the game on sunday, too. it will be in the mid 40s during the afternoon. monday and tuesday still cold. on wednesday, bit milder. could get some rain on tuesday. >> we hear the wind, tom. thanks a lot. meantime a new study says 1 in 24 adults admit to falling asleep while driving in the past month. the cdc says the number the probably higher because some people don't realize when they mod off for a second or two behind the wheel. the survey found drowsy driving was more common in men, people cages 25 to 34 and those that averaged less than six hours of sleep each night. you might be drowsy on red line.

filler and the pressure of the filler stimulate a more youthful response. >> let's look at some before and after here. >> these are pillers. this is the -- you can see -- >> absolutely. what a difference. >> people have to do this every couple of years but now we're finding through the study and our clinical suggestions that this is happening long-term effects which is very exciting. >> but they used to say these fillers only lasted a few months. >> right. >> that's not the case anymore? >> this seems to be not the case. there seems to be a long-term effect for temporary fillers and it's changing the whole paradigm of aging, rather than letting people get old we're using fillers and noninvasive things and extending their youthfulness and changing the. >> so at some point if you get fillers under your face, you won't have to do it for a while? >> we continue to age but it means you'll probably need to do it less or likelihood of needing more major surgery like a facelift is left. >> so it mumps up the dermis

sandy aid bill has been passed in the house. pnc bank is warning customers about unusually high traffic on online and it consistent with threatened cyberattacks. they say they've taken steps to glock traffic but the bank said this is an access issue not acan issue of account security. as a result, the banks said some customers may not be able to log into their bank accounts online. u.s. employers added 155,000 jobs in december. let's check in with cnbc courtney regan. more on that with the rest of the day's business headlines. >> good morning, keith. stocks only slightly higher today after the government released the last jobs' report of 2012, the december jobs' report and it revealed the economy added 155,000 nonfarm payroll that was is slightly below economists forecast. the unemployment rate picked up slightly from 7.7 to 7.8%.

national is at 43. the wind, it's gusting to around 10 or 15 miles an hour. occasionally up to around 20 miles an hour. going to the game on sunday? here's how it's looking at fedex field for the game. right at game time, kickoff time is probably going to be in the mid 40s and partly sunny at 4:30 and mostly cloudy later in the afternoon, a light wind and maybe, back down to near 40 degrees by game's end. here's how we're looking for the next several days. another chilly day tomorrow but a lighter wind and then as we get into the first part of next week, back to work and school on monday and it will be a cold start to 30 and afternoon highs in the low 40s and may mike it to the mid 40s on tuesday with increasing clouds. a system approaching area of low pressure and bringing in mild air ahead of it on wednesday and into the mid 50s, perhaps, on wednesday afternoon. then it does look like it's going to be rain. the next precipitation, we haven't had any precipitation in quite a while. not snow. next one looks like rain moving
